Connecting Communities: How Death Doulas Bring Palliative Care To The Public
I am honored to be presenting at San Diego’s Seventh Annual Palliative Care Professional Conference! My work as a death doula includes bridging the gap between the public’s understanding of palliative care and the comprehensive support that a palliative care team offers.
Through educational outreach, I strive to inform and empower those facing life-limiting diagnoses, guiding them through the physical, bureaucratic, emotional, and spiritual resources available. By asking hard questions, actively listening to the responses, and presenting options, I aim to ensure everyone can access the care and support we deserve.
